Wifi Air
do i have to pay for air-time, when i use the wifi feature on a mobile phone?
i am gonna buy a new mobile phone, and one feature i couldn't seem to figure out is the wifi feature. is it anything like a notebook wifi, which i can use to get online for free, if there are public hot spots available?
if the answer is yes, then where does the mobile carrier come in? it seems like i should be able to get online and use skype or any other audio chat protocol to talk for free.
is there anything that i am missing? please enlighten me as to how wifi works on a mobile phone. if i can get online for free when i am near a hot spot, then it is worth the extra charge, otherwise, if i have to pay mobile carrier airtime, then i think i will probably pass.
nope, its free,i am using a n80 myself, have been connecting to super fast internet at my home and i suft with wifi almost everyday
