How to remove orange peel from the wall to get a perfectly smooth surface.?
I am a projection screen paint on my wall about 120 by 90 inches. The wall is painted with a texture coat orangle however, and must be smooth before I prime and paint. How can I smooth this surface? Can I do it by hand without a motor of a grinder? Do I need a joint compound? Thank you
joint compound simply the entire wall and sand it ... use a flashlight at night on a corner to see how smooth the wall will be ... it will drive you nuts. but enjoy ... Finally you will need wall spray to avoid orange peel on the rollers ... no sponge to do - just spray on a finish like car. Good luck.
