Can I use Adobe After Effects to make a home video look more like a TV show final product?

Can I use Adobe After Effect 7 Pro to make a home video look more like a Hollywood end product? And if so, how?

I do not know about After Effects, but you do not need this program to make a look of home video more like a theater-quality video. First, my apologies If you are an experienced and already know what I mean. If you are, let's just say it for all these newcomers home video, who are reading this:) Ok, the first thing to make your video more like the movies is the aspect ratio. This means, the difference between shooting a "square" on a screen or widescreen. I always take my projects in widescreen. Check your device photo, I'm sure you will find the setting to be changed to take in widescreen. If you do not have this option, here's a tip. Using your software video editing apply a dull letter. However, only two black bars, one on top of the screen and the other on the bottom of the screen. Believe me, which reduces the appearance of the home video a lot. Then, do not shake the camera! Try to cut as much background noise, microphones use to get votes clear if there are parts of language and subtly add good sound effects to create an atmosphere and environment belieivable. Even if the public does not see a road (or the port space, or in the jungle rain, etc.. Etc..) You can put a whole city behind your house by making them listen. If they wish, they will thing is there. It's even better if you insert a blow to define before your clip. Example, first showing a busy road. The public can see cars and hear the cars. Then pan to a house along the road (or, simply, the transition to the next scene). Cut to scene the house beside the road and keep the audio volume a bit lower, but still there. Now the public can not see the road, but it is always there in spirit. You get the picture. Another way to really add a professional look is to music. Just about any instrumental music in the background help make it more pro. Of course, the music that reinforces everything that happens on the screen will help, but if you can not find anything, just slap it as an artist;) soundtracks of cartoons and games are very good "feel" the music, but watch the guy's copyright. projects personnel, they! no doubt! will not mind. Just remember to give them credit, of course. IF YOU CAN, but I doubt you can (I can even do it), adjust the depth of field. This means that when you have a big plane as the bottom of development.
