Hdtv Plasma

I just purchased a 50"hdtv Plasma TV and I have the Bose Lifestyle38 and I plan to get DVR cablebox.?

What else do I need to get the Best Quality and Performance in HD.I thought about HDDVD recorder but I found out its not compatible with my Bose I heard about the Bose "VS-2 Video Enhancer would this be the way to go! I want top quality in HD!

First and foremost, make sure you get an HD-DVR cable box.

Use HDMI cable to connect the cable box to the HD TV.

Use a fiber optic cable (digital optical audio) to connect the sound from the cable box to your Bose Lifestyle 38 reciever. This way you will have the best digital 5.1 channel surround sound that is broadcast on all HD content.

If you are trying to watch HD DVD's, then you need to buy a HD or Blue Ray DVD player. Then do the same hook up as above. HDMI from player to TV and use the digital coax (the orange connector) for audio from the player to the Bose receiver.

Unfortunately (even for $3000), the Bose receiver only has one optical sound input.

Don't mess with running video into the Bose receiver. It has no HDMI inputs or outputs.

You don't need any kind of video enhancer if you have HD DVR cable box and HD DVD player. Those are as good as it gets. Dont waste money on any kind of enhancers.
